On Unapologetic Goal Setting

{November 30, 2021}

As we’re in the home-stretch of 2021, it’s time to start reflecting on the previous year, and also giving thought to what you want to experience in 2022.

The following ideas, questions, and affirmations will prime your mind to close out this year standing tall and propel into the next with gratitude, excitement, and hope.

Here are your Twofers for the week…

- 2 Ideas from others -

“Goal-setting is an important process to help you design the life you envision to live and to help you create energy and momentum.”

“Knowing how you actually want to feel is the most potent form of clarity that you can have. If your goals aren’t synced with the substance of your heart, then achieving them won’t matter much.”

- Danielle Laporte

- 2 Questions -

“What positive, fundamental things have I learned about myself in this past year?”

“If I was 10x bolder than I am now, what ambitious goals would I set for myself in 2022?”

Coach nudge: When asking this question, notice any judgement and doubts that surface. Gently place them on the side and bask in the excitement of “What if?”

Get clear on, and write down the emotions you’d feel when these goals were met. Elated? At peace? In awe? Free? Proud? Take the time to unapologetically step into these emotions, even if only for a minute. (Trust me, it’s science.)

- 2 Affirmations -

I set goals that are in alignment with the core of who I am and what lights me up.

I choose to believe that achieving my audacious goals, contributes to humanity and is in service to the greater good.
