The Surprising Link Between Nesting and Building a Business
Over the summer months, my kids were home a lot more and I didn't have as much time to focus and WORK on my businesses, but boy did my mind find the time to THINK about them.
I found that by slowing down my business activities, the mental chatter seemed to ramp up. And that mental chatter had a common theme of questioning my capabilities as a business owner, action taker and service provider.
But recently, something shifted, and I want to share it with you.
At 26 weeks pregnant, and in full nesting mode, I've noticed a spike in my motivation and momentum to do projects around the house.
So far, I've bought and scheduled full replacements of our shower/tub and multiple windows, deep cleaned and re-screened our older windows, uninstalled and re-installed AC units, replaced window treatments in the girls' bedroom, and have been cooking and cleaning way more than I usually do! (My husband is loving it, cause he was Mr. Mom for the longest time 🤪).
I'm in full-blown Mama-mode, and there's no end in sight… for now, at least.
I often have an out-of-body experience where I watch myself in awe and say, “Who even is this chick??” 🙃
But seeing the fruits of my labor, and watching myself take action, let me realize that these small wins are actually laying the foundation of my self-belief and self-trust.
So, maybe, just maybe, I can do this mom thing with three kiddos, even though I've never done it before.
And maybe, just maybe, if I can build my self-belief and self-trust as a mama of three, then I can do the same with a business I've never built before.
And so can you.
You see, it's the small projects that turn a house into a home.
And it's the small actions that turn into confidence and belief.
Remember, you are capable, you will take action, and you are building something meaningful—whether it's a family, a business, or a dream.
✨ You're not just making progress; you're building a foundation that will support you through every challenge and triumph ahead. ✨
You’ve got this, love, and I’m right here cheering you on.
