On Taking Action

With the Past in Mind

{August 30, 2022}

- 2 Ideas from others -

“We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it.”

- Rick Warren
American evangelical Christian pastor and author

“Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift. And eventually we find that lessons learned from that discouraging experience prove to be of great worth.”

- Richelle E. Goodrich
American poet and novelist

- 2 Coaching Prompts -

They say “hindsight is 20/20,” and, to an extent, it’s true! This is what this whole series has been about: Change happens when awareness meets reflection and action. Transformation happens when you do it over and over again.

The idea is to look to your past, not to be discouraged or punish yourself, but to gain clarity on why we are who and where we are today!

Today’s prompts ask you to take action with your past in mind:

  • What financial mindset did you have 1 year ago that allowed you to be in your financial state today? What can you do to improve that today?

  • What fitness mindset did you have 6 months ago that allowed you to be in your physical state today? What can you do to improve that today?

- 2 Affirmations -

  • I look to my past for lessons and triumphs.

  • The action I take today pays dividends tomorrow. (Repeating from last week because of how powerful it is.)

Gene TestingI recently came back from a convention in Dallas and my eyes were opened to optimizing your health through gene testing. You see, current state of your body (ailments and all) is based upon the quality of which your genes are expressing itself.

Gary Brecka Gary Brecka is the co-founder of 10X Health with Grant Cardone. He formerly held a position in which (given the right data) he could predict to the month when an individual would die. Watch this video to see who he is and why he created the gene testing program above.
